The last three CPAP machines in CPAP Victoria’s list of top 7 are PR System One, Airsense 10 and Airsense 10 for her.
PR System one REMStar 60 Series Pro CPAP Machine with Bluetooth
This particular CPAP machine has been upgraded several times over with more features added. The latest feature added is a Bluetooth. It is now possible to link the machine to SleepMapper app on any Apple or Android phone to easily relay data of a user’s sleep. The C-Flex technology is still used in the transition phase of inhaling to exhaling against the pressure of airflow.
Features
The PR System One has an auto-trial and CPAP check modes wherein it is possible to put the machine into auto trial mode. This feature auto adjusts the user’s breathing the same way as an APAP machine. Note though that this is not an auto adjustment machine. The machine operates as an APAP machine to collect data on how the user breathes. After the data collection the machine switches back into CPAP mode to deliver constant air pressure. The auto trial mode can be switched off if the user does not want to use the feature.
Another feature is the System One Resistance Control, designed for optimal pressure on the CPAP mask. However, this feature can only be used if the mask’s brand is Phillips Respironics. An optional feature is a heated tube humidifier, an aftermarket item for those who need one.
For its outstanding features, this CPAP machine is still quite affordable.
Airsense 10 CPAP Machine with HumidAir Heated Humidifier
The autoset feature of the Airsense 10 CPAP is most convenient as user does not have to turn on or off the machine. All one has to do is lie down and put on the mask for the machine to turn itself on. When the user takes the mask off, the machine automatically turns off. Once the user is asleep, the machine detects this then turns the pressure up if this option is set up. The light sensor is automatic and will not blind the user at night.
The LED display indicates the different therapy data, including when the mask is not properly worn. The humidifier is optional and has nine various levels of humidity. The EPR or expiratory pressure relief detects how the user is exhaling and automatically adjusts the pressure for a more comfortable breathing.
It is Wifi-ready which makes transfer of data over the internet to any SMART device quite easy. The SD card and slot make for easy recording and transfer of data to any PC.
Airsense 10 CPAP Machine for Her with HumidAir Heated Humidifier
The Airsense 10 AutoSet for Her is the only CPAP machine with heated humidifier that is truly designed for women. This machine’s algorithm has been developed to fit the female’s breathing pattern for a more effective and comfortable therapy. The new integrated humidifier makes the machine 23% lighter than older ResMed models. It can be set from 1 to 8 with 1 as the lowers level of humidification. The optional ClimateLineAir integrated heated tube further enhance humidification.
This machine also has an internal heating plate. The attached water chamber makes for a decreased footprint. The Auto Climate Control feature adjusts the level of humidification on the mask based on the current room temperature.
SmartStart™ technology makes it easy to start therapy. When a user puts on the mask and starts breathing into it, the machine will automatically begin therapy. When the mask is taken off, this will be registered to the machine and it will turn itself off.
