ResMed AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask

UltraSoft Memory Foam Cushion

AirTouch F20 with its UltraSoft Memory Foam cushion was created by ResMed  not only to lessen facial irritation but also to ensure a tight seal and fit during CPAP therapy. The cushion is quite adaptable to varying degrees of therapy pressures and facial profiles, guaranteeing a tight 98% seal, comfortable and breathable fit.

Quick and Easy Maintenance

AirTouch F20 is very simple and easy to clean and maintain. There is no need for soap and water to clean the mask.  All one needs is an alcohol-free wipe to wipe down the mask. The cushion requires replacement every so often for optimal performance.  The foam cushion cannot be immersed or washed in water.

Pros

The design of AirTouch F20 mask frame is modular so using either AirFit F20’s UltraSoft Memory foam cushion or AirFit F20’s InfinitySeal cushion is not an issue. You can use either of the mask cushions without removing the frame, making it easier for the user to find the best fit.

The mask comes in three sizes of S, M, L, and even has a For Her version with lavender accents.

AirTouch F20 is considered the quietest mask to date thanks to ResMed QuietAir technology. The diffuser lessens noise and disperses exhaled air.

The elbow it easy to attach and detach making it hassle-free for a quick trip to the bathroom at night even in the middle of therapy.

The magnetic headgear clips make it easy for the user to put on and off the mask. The design of the mask’s frame affords the user not only minimal facial contact but unobstructed vision during therapy.

Cons

The AirTouch F20 is comparatively more expensive than other types of mask.  However, it is does not cost overly more than its predecessor AirFit F20.

The cushion cannot be washed with water so it should be replaced every 4 to 6 weeks.  Regularly cleaning the mask and using mask liner could extend the life of the cushion.

Conclusion

AirTouch F20 full face mask offers a comfortable and tight seal fit.  It is quick and easy to put on and take off the mask. Maintenance is a breeze. This mask is a bit pricey, and the cushion needs to be replaced at least once every 30 days.  However, the AirTouch F20 is cost-efficient, and is definitely recommended for those who are looking for high grade full face CPAP mask.
